How
- Prep the Surface: Make sure your surface is solid and free of any dust, grease, or old paint. Lightly spray the surface with water. It should be damp.
- Mixing (Choose your goal)
- The Glue (Bond Coat):Mix Duratex 800 and water (equal parts), then stir in fresh cement until it looks like thick cream. Stir for 3 minutes and use it immediately.
- The Heavy-Duty Patch (Render):Mix Duratex 800 and water (equal parts). Use 25L of this liquid for every 50kg of cement and 150kg of sand to create a strong repair mortar.
- How to Apply
- Step A (The Base):Scrub your "Bond Coat" mixture onto the floor with a stiff broom. This acts as the glue for your repair.
- Step B (The Patch):While the bond coat is still fresh, apply your mortar mix with a trowel or shovel. Smooth it out to match the height of the surrounding floor.
- Wait & Cure: Keep the surface moist for the first 24 hours to prevent cracks.
- Texture:You can leave it slightly rough with a broom for grip or smooth it down with a steel trowel. Never add extra water to the surface while smoothing it out.
- Clean Up:Wash your tools with water immediately.
💡 Quick Tips: Never use Duratex 800 alone as a glue; it must be mixed with cement to work.
